Mission Statement
Through the teaching office of the Bishop of Lubbock, ministering to the diversity of our diocese:
We support the parents/guardians as the first educators in the domestic Church;
We provide resources to pastors and local faith communities;
We accompany the people of God on their spiritual journey through multigenerational evangelization, catechesis, and formation.
Benchmarks
What we're focusing on this upcoming year:
• Annual Family Conference
• Up-build and strengthen the local parish communities/ Evangelize the whole person in the necessity of ongoing faith formation
• Promote Spiritual Growth within the Diocese of Lubbock
• Ministry to Young Adults as a priority in the Diocese of Lubbock
• Aid the Young Church in Spiritual Growth and Ongoing Faith Formation opportunities
• Instill and enrich Catholic values in all facets of the Church, especially family life
• Emphasis on the Sacrament of Matrimony in the life of the Church
• Value Catholic Schools as a preferential option for the Diocese of Lubbock
• Reaffirm our commitment to our Catholic School System
• Development of Out of School Programs
• Formation of Catechetical Leaders and Catechists
• Ministry to the Local Church through Family Faith Formation
• Excellence in transmitting Catholic Doctrine with an emphasis on Catholic School Teaching
• Participate in Catholic School Teachings
